Citizens welcome back to another Fan Appreciation post!

In today’s Fan Appreciation post we will be speaking to Hayley Moseley @haylo__creative a very talented Artist and Friend from Instagram!

I have had the absolute joy of meeting Hayley in person thanks to our mutual love for PRESIDENT. So it’s a pleasure to spotlight this incredible Artist and Friend.

Hayley has attended both of PRESIDENT’s UK Rallys — the Download Festival set and the incredible London show — and even created stunning artwork that was personally handed to PRESIDENT himself. Her passion, creativity, and love for the community have made her a standout fan, and we’re so excited to learn more about her journey!

Hey Hayley! Before we dive in, could you please introduce yourself to the community?

“Originally from Salisbury, now living in West Sussex. I am a senior editorial designer for a National Newspaper in London. In my spare time I enjoy painting canvases, gym, gigs, country walks and mermaiding.”

“I am a proud cat mum and one of the Moderators for the PRESIDENT: The Conclave FB community.”

What first drew you to PRESIDENT’s music and world?

“My husband introduced me to PRESIDENT when this unknown band appeared on the line up for Download. I admit at the time “In the name of the father” was a slow burner, but I was intrigued as to what this band had to offer. Download day arrived and we managed to find a small space at the very back of the tent. At this point I was still very much on the fence about this mysterious masked band, and as such had missed the fact that FEARLESS had been released a few days prior.”

IT GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS. I remember really honing in on the lyrics and being reminded of a period of my life where I felt at my complete lowest. I was like “holy F**k… this is how I felt.

“The moment came …. PRESIDENT came to the stage, everyone went quiet, then FEARLESS dropped, then RAGE and I properly stood to attention…. IT GAVE ME GOOSEBUMPS. I remember really honing in on the lyrics and being reminded of a period of my life where I felt at my complete lowest. I was like “holy F**k… this is how I felt”. I do not mind being completely transparent, I want to be open about this, not for pity but because I wonder if other citizens have or had the same epiphany. ”

“Almost two years ago I was in darkness and suicidal and what PRESIDENT was saying in these songs at that moment very much reminded me of how I was feeling and navigating my life at the time.  That performance at Download felt like someone had reached into my soul and vocalised all the pent up feelings and thoughts I had dealt with, but in such a perfect way! I felt that I was no longer alone and what I had gone through… someone else had felt it too.”

That performance at Download felt like someone had reached into my soul and vocalised all the pent up feelings and thoughts I had dealt with, but in such a perfect way!

“The raw emotion and performance of the whole set floored me and from that moment I became hooked.”

You’ve created some incredible PRESIDENT-inspired artwork — what inspired your pieces, and how does his music or message influence your art?

“It was a weird one… it was the day Rage was released and I was sitting outside enjoying the sunshine on my day off.  All I could think about was how awesome that track is and for some weird reason I could not get this idea out of my head… I just wanted to paint PRESIDENT…. so I did. Prior to this I had not painted for about 6 years and to be honest I wasn’t entirely sure how it was gonna turn out. 4 hrs in with all three tracks on repeat I stepped back and I was blown away with what I had created, So much so I had the idea of trying to get it to PRESIDENT himself and that was when I decided to create some prints made up.”

Your artwork was actually given to PRESIDENT himself! Can you tell us how that happened, and how it felt knowing something you made reached him?

“I was so nervous… and I didnt even know if i could pull it off and if I remember rightly it became a bit of a group mission”

“We were stode in the Queue when this dude from the venue came out. I showed him the print and nervously enquired if he could help me get it to PRESIDENT. He said to come find him once I got in and he will make sure to deliver it back stage! It was game on. Once inside (and post merch buying) he happened to pass me and figured it was now or never. He took it off me and I watched him go past barriers over the stage and disappear back stage with my print firmly in his hands. He shortly reappeared sans print. I live in hope that PRESIDENT got and enjoys my gift but I guess I will never know.”

You’ve been to both the UK Rallys — Download and London. Which one stood out more for you, and why?

“OOOOh good question. Both are iconic in their own right. Download …. you witnessed the birth of the movement, but London was, for me,  next level. The build up, the atmosphere, the speculation… It was pure electric. I came away buzzing and hungry for more… “Like a drug feeding me in the dark”, not to mention I met some cool like minded amazing people..”

We’ve seen your PRESIDENT-inspired tattoo — can you tell us the story behind it and what it means to you personally?

“It was my Mum who suggested the tattoo actually, I had become obsessed, watching the music videos and Download over and over. And it had lit a fire in me that she said was lovely to see in me again. She asked me what is it about this band you like so much… I said it was how the music felt like it reaches in and communicates deep within my soul and that I haven’t felt this passionate or excited about a band since the passing of Chester Bennington from Linkin Park. When I look at the tattoo, I guess it symbolises two things. One, the moment I felt truly over my darkness period in my life, and Two… the band who gave me my spark back!”

He took it off me and I watched him go past barriers over the stage and disappear back stage with my print firmly in his hands. He shortly reappeared sans print. I live in hope that PRESIDENT got and enjoys my gift but I guess I will never know.

On a deeper level, what does PRESIDENT mean to you? Has his music or message had an impact on your life in any special way?

“If I am being completely honest this band saved me. They entered my life just when I needed clarity and direction and for that I will always be thankful.  I pretty much listen to the EP everyday… it’s like my happy place or it resets my mindset for the day.”

“My PRESIDENT hoodie has also become a bit of therapy hoody.. It has become really special to me. It is my dedication hoodie with patches on it documenting the rallies I have attended and PRESIDENT’s EP releases. I often turn to it when I want a hug and I think my husband is sick of seeing me in it LOL. For me this band and their music is my way of escapism and a reminder of how far my mental health has come.”

When you sit down to create PRESIDENT-related art, do you listen to his music for inspiration, or do you draw more from the energy of the community?

“100% When I produced my artwork, very little fan art had emerged. Now as the movement and community grows its inspiring to seeing other citizens’ artwork and witnessing how PRESIDENT has touched their lives too.”

You run an Etsy shop featuring your artwork — can you tell us a bit about it? What kind of art can fans expect to find there, and how did you get started selling your work?

“It’s in its very early stages. The prints are still available….. I just want to share my love for the band. The fact that it someone else takes joy from what I have created and it graces their wall gives me a really heartwarming feeling. In time there will be more items including some t-shirts etc but we will see.”

How has being part of the PRESIDENT community shaped your experience as a fan and artist? Have you made any memorable friendships through the rallies or online?

“It’s like a little family almost. We share insights, information and love for PRESIDENT, and so far I have not witnessed any negativity or trolling which in this day and age is truly uplifting. I have met and made some really good friends through the community, one of which is yourself Declan, and I am so grateful to be part of the movement and communities you have built on socials so thank you.”

“I would like to add that if my candid-ness about my dark time helps other citizens or gives them the validation and stength that they are never alone and we can perhaps open another avenue of support within the fan communities we build –  that would be a beautiful thing.”

Finally, what’s next for you? Are you planning to attend any upcoming PRESIDENT shows or future rallies? And do you have any new art projects in the works inspired by him?

“My husband and I have an exciting 2026 coming up in terms of Rallies and gigs. We are off to Budapest for the Architects/PRESIDENT gig, followed by the Campaign Trail in London then Slamdunk Festival South. I am in no doubt we will aim to go to more during the rest of the year as and when new rallies are announced. As for artwork… I have a Rage inspired piece in my head that I am keen to put on canvas and I am sure more will follow.”

Before we wrap up, where can people find you online? Feel free to plug your Etsy shop, socials, or any other projects you want the PRESIDENT community to check out!

“If anyone would like to purchase a print they can be found at https://haylocreative.etsy.com

“And if anyone would like to follow me etc my instagram is the.muscle.mermaid
